Brittney Tuff

Ballet - Jazz

DA: When did you first begin to dance?
I began dancing when I was three. When I was ten, I began competing in dance competitions and performing regularly. When I was 15, I began dancing for up to 50 hours a week. Now, I take classes everyday at Dance Academy and teach there, as well.

DA: When did you first begin teach?
I began teaching when I was 16.

DA: What styles of dance are you trained in?
I am mainly trained in ballet, jazz and lyrical. I have also studied modern, contemporary, and tap, yet my main focus is on ballet and jazz.

DA: What is your favorite aspect of teaching dance in the classroom?
I love having the opportunity to watch and promote growth in my students. It is amazing to see how much a student has improved from the beginning of the year to the year-end recital.

DA: What do you hope your students take away from your class?
I hope my students learn the proper technique and acquire the discipline required for their particular style of dance. Additionally, I hope to incite a love for dance in all of my students.
