DA: When did you first begin to dance?
I began to take ballet at the age of three. When I was five my parents signed me up for tap and jazz as well. I began performing in professional productions at the age of 12 and perform regularly, most recently in the prestigious Garden State Dance Festival performing in jazz, lyrical, modern, tap, ballet, and musical theatre works by the world class choreographers.
DA: When did you first begin teach?
I’ve been teaching since the age of 18. I am currently a college student at Holy Family University in Philadelphia, PA where I am studying elementary and special education and minoring in psychology.
DA: What styles of dance are you trained in?
I am trained in ballet, Pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, and modern dance.
DA: What is your favorite aspect of teaching dance in the classroom?
I love noting their skilled improvement from September to recital, and especially love to witness the life-long self-confidence they gain as a result.
DA: What do you hope your students take away from your class?
I hope my students can walk away with confidence in themselves that will help them in all areas of their lives. I share my passion for dance with each and every one of my students and I hope they become equally as passionate about dancing and art as I.
